Dramatic Dining

Adding a bit of drama to this generously sized dining room was an exciting task, especially with adventurous clients who were willing to trust the vision and take a few risks. First, high wainscoting was drenched in Sherwin Williams Cyberspace – a color that reads anywhere from slate gray/blue to black depending on the time of day. To warm things up, medium wood-toned chairs with caned backs sit around a white Lexington Tommy Bahama table. Host chairs in a pale jade add a pop of color to match the drama happening on the coffered ceiling where recesses are painted in a Sherwin Williams Jasper Stone. A jute rug in faded coastal colors anchors the space, as does a console with more caning at the end of the room. Portuguese, reactive-glaze ceramic dishware serves as functional wall decor to complement five framed intaglio shadow box art pieces lining the opposite wall.
