As self-described Christmas people, this lovely couple wanted to create a place to have relaxing celebrations and cocktails. We began by designing a new mantle and fireplace surround. The rug played right into their color palette wishes, calling on vibrant reds and blues to set the tone of elevated yet comfortable Americana. Pindler denim fabric on a Century sofa keeps the room casual, while touches of gold add a little glam. The comfy Lexington swivel rocker is done in textural tobacco leather with antique nickel nailheads. Deep navy blue paint graces the back of the bookcase, allowing keepsakes and barware to pop. Family photos arranged gallery style flank an abstract landscape art piece. Throw pillows with cheerful plaid and Santa-inspired faux fur create smiles all around, as do window treatments done in a denim floral.
